Good morning Iowans. Just wanted to pass on some great training opportunities. The Hartman Reserve Nature Center in Cedar Falls Iowa has been putting on some great events. They have a series called "Bushcraft Survival Series." This series offers a variety of skills like Nocturnal navigation, Maple syrup making, and up coming Power off weekend Sunday December 19th. Check out their website and see if there is anything that interests you. This is in Cedar Falls Iowa. If this is too far for you try checking out your local state or county park to see what they offer. One thought I had was to invite the Hartman Reserve People down to teach here. Also this could be a fun opportunity for a road trip and to get to know the surrounding areas better. Regardless of where you go, keep training. Practice, Patience, and preparedness will get you through the rough times. Good luck all. Tabatha
